Drop in the shoot, pick your .cube, export every file graded. The frame that came out too contrasty sits at 60% while the rest stay at 100.

One slider for the whole set; the frame shot into the sun keeps its own. An impression here; a real LUT in the app.

BatchTone is a Mac app that applies one .cube LUT to a whole folder of photos and video at once, with its own strength on every file. It exports JPEG, PNG and H.264 MP4, never touches the originals and uploads nothing. It runs on macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon. Seven-day trial, then one payment.

The problem

## The same LUT at 100% is too much for part of every shoot

Put one look across eighty frames and most of them land. The backlit ones go too heavy, the indoor ones too thin. A script or a Photoshop action applies it at one strength to everything. Lightroom and Resolve can vary it, after you convert the .cube to a profile or build a node for each clip.

BatchTone keeps the batch and gives every file its own dial. Hold B to see the original, press 6 for 60%, press X to leave a file out, or apply the strength you just set to the remaining files and move on. What you approved in the preview is what lands in the folder.

LOG footage

## A card of flat clips is a batch job, not an edit

D-Log, S-Log and C-Log all arrive grey on purpose, and every clip from the shoot needs the same conversion. The tools that do it well are editors: a project, a timeline, a colour page, a render queue.

Drop the folder in, pick the Rec.709 conversion, come back to graded files with the same names. DJI's own `.cube` files are malformed in a way that makes ffmpeg reject them. BatchTone repairs them without mentioning it.

What it does

## Built for a card full of files, not for one photo

### A strength dial per file

The part no other batch tool has. One look across the shoot, and the two frames that need less get less, without leaving the batch.

### Photos and video, same batch

The same .cube applies to both, and the maths matches: a clip at 50% lands on the same values as a photo at 50%.

### Your LUT library, previewed

Import a pack of hundreds once. Every look is shown on your own first frame, so you pick by looking rather than by reading a filename.

### Metadata survives

Capture date, camera and GPS carried across from your JPEGs, orientation handled so nothing comes out rotated twice. Originals are never modified.

### Nothing is uploaded

Every file is processed on your own machine. There is no account, no cloud, and no server holding your work.

### Picks up where you left off

Close the app mid-review and every adjustment is still there. An export that fails halfway says exactly which files reached the disk.

01

### Drop in the shoot

Photos and clips together, straight from the card.

02

### Pick a look

Your .cube pack, previewed on your own first frame.

03

### Dial it in, file by file

Hold a key to see the original; push a strength onto the rest.

04

### Export

JPEG, PNG or MP4, named the way you set, originals untouched.

Questions

## Before you download

Anything missing: [support@batchtone.com](mailto:support@batchtone.com)

### Which Macs does it run on?+

macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon. An Intel build is not available yet.

### Which files does it read?+

JPEG, PNG, HEIC and TIFF photos, and MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, MKV, MTS and M2TS video, including H.264 and HEVC 10-bit. Photos and clips go in the same batch.

### Does it develop RAW files?+

No. It applies a look to files that are already developed. If your camera writes RAW+JPEG, the JPEGs work now; if you shoot RAW only, develop in your usual tool and bring the exports here.

### Which LUT files does it take?+

Standard .cube files of any size, including the malformed ones DJI ships. Those are repaired on the way in rather than rejected. Import a whole pack once and every look is previewed on your own first frame.

### Will the export match what I saw in the preview?+

Yes. Photos are exported through the same GPU shader as the preview. Video goes through ffmpeg with the same blend arithmetic, so a clip at 50% lands on the same values as a photo at 50%.

### Do my photos or videos leave my computer?+

No. Everything is processed on your machine, and the app has no upload of any kind. What can leave is technical: a diagnostics report when you press the button that sends it, and a short crash report if the app hits an unexpected error. Neither contains your files or their names.

### What does the trial include?+

Everything, for seven days: video, unlimited batches, no watermark. The questions worth asking are whether it reads your camera's files and takes your LUT pack, and only your own material answers those.

### What happens when the trial ends?+

Exporting stops. Nothing else does: your batch, your adjustments and your LUT library are all still there, and buying inside the app picks up exactly where you were.

### Is it a subscription?+

No. One in-app purchase through the Mac App Store, and updates arrive through the App Store like any other app. It works on every Mac signed in to your Apple ID, and nothing needs a connection once it is bought.

### What is coming next?+

Exposure and colour adjustments beyond LUTs, and a Windows build. Both are included in the same purchase.

## Try it on your own shoot

Seven days with everything unlocked. If it does not read your files, you will know within the hour and it will have cost you nothing.
