The short version

The application has no accounts, no analytics and no uploads. Your photos, video and LUTs never leave your machine. There is no server that holds your work, because there is no server.

What the application sends

Two things, both of them narrow:

Licence checks. When you activate, and periodically afterwards, your licence key is sent to Gumroad to confirm it is valid. That request contains the key and nothing about your files. It works offline for thirty days between checks.
Diagnostics, only when you press the button. If something fails, the app can prepare a report — the version, your macOS version, where its bundled FFmpeg came from and the last few error messages, which may include file names. It is shown to you in full before it is sent, and it is only ever sent by you, from your own email client.

What this website collects

Standard server logs, and analytics if and when it is switched on — aggregate page views, no account, no cross-site tracking. Query strings are stripped of everything except campaign parameters before anything is recorded.

What Gumroad collects

Buying goes through Gumroad, which handles payment and tax as merchant of record and has its own privacy policy. We receive the email address attached to a purchase so licences can be reissued and buyers can be told about updates. We never see card details.

Your rights

Write to support@batchtone.com to ask what is held against your purchase, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Deleting a purchase record also invalidates the licence it belongs to, which is worth knowing before asking.
