Terms

What you are buying

BatchTone is a macOS application. A licence is a one-time purchase that lets you install and use it on up to two machines you control, for as long as you like, including future updates. You are buying a licence to use the software, not the software itself.

The trial

The trial runs for seven days from first launch with every feature available. When it ends, exporting stops; nothing you set up is deleted. The trial is offered as-is, and we may change its length for future releases without changing anything for people who already hold a licence.

Your files

Your photos, video and LUTs are yours. BatchTone processes them on your machine and never uploads them. It writes exports only to folders you choose and does not modify your original files. You are responsible for keeping backups — as you would be with any tool that writes files.

What you may not do

Share, resell or publish your licence key; attempt to defeat the licence check; or redistribute the application itself. Ordinary use — including commercial work, client work and any output you produce — is exactly what the licence is for, and we claim no rights over what you make.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Gumroad, which is the merchant of record and processes refunds. The refund window is stated on the store page. If something does not work as described, write to support@batchtone.com first — most of what people ask for a refund over turns out to be fixable, and the seven-day trial exists so this decision can be made before any money changes hands.

Third-party software

BatchTone includes FFmpeg, built without GPL or non-free components and used under the LGPL. The exact version, the build configuration and where to obtain the source are documented with the application, and the bundled binaries can be replaced with your own build.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the licence. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes

These terms may change for future purchases; the version in force is the one published on the day you bought. Material changes will be dated at the top of this page.
